Health and Safety Services in The Woodlands

When you’re considering relocating to another city in your own state or elsewhere in the country then you’ll obviously want to know about the various community services on offer in that part of the world – including policing and fire departments for example. The fact that The Woodlands was and is a planned community means that the provision of all manner of public safety services were included from the very outset and not simply “bolted” onto the township later on.

One of the first things you’ll notice when visiting The Woodlands is the Alpha and Omega Mounted Patrol, with their bright red shirts being hard to miss. This privately owned security patrol company are highly visible and act as both ambassadors for the town and can also provide visitors or residents with directions and assistance when required. They’re a reassuring sight when you’re simply driving around the city or out shopping with your family at one of the many fantastic malls in our city.

We also operate our own emergency fire service in the form of The Woodlands Fire Department. They are responsible for providing both fire-fighting and EMT services within our township, which includes providing a first-response team for medical emergencies. Our fire department is very well equipped and operates from 7 different fire stations located throughout The Woodlands.

In terms of police support The Woodlands has an incredibly low crime rate thanks to having a combination of one of the most successful Neighborhood Watch schemes in the United States and having officers from Montgomery Sheriff’s Office and also from Shenandoah and Oak Ridge providing law enforcement in and around the city itself.

When it comes to requiring an ambulance service we can rely on the Montgomery County Hospital for that, and with emergency services in and around The Woodlands offering record response times you won’t be waiting very long for assistance, if you do ever require it.

New Toll Brothers Neighborhood Near The Woodlands

Toll Brothers has just announced their plans to build their first master planned community in the Houston area, starting in the year 2014.  Although they have been building here for many years, this will be their first planned community in Houston thus far.

This development will be located in Spring TX, near The Woodlands, falling within South Montgomery County.  Toll Brothers just recently closed on a 692 acre tract called the “Vaughan Tract”.  The tract is located on the east side of Interstate 45, along Riley Fuzzell Rd, which will soon become part of the new Grand Parkway.  The Vaughan Tract shares a boundary line with the custom acreage neighborhood known as Benders Landing.

Toll Brothers plans to build 1,350 luxury style homes upon completion.  Lot sizes are estimated to be 55’/65’/70’ & 80’ in width.  The neighborhood is zoned for Conroe Independent School District

With so much anticipated new demand in the Spring area, this development should be well received and right on time.  The location will provide very easy access to the new ExxonMobil campus and to the growing Woodlands Town Center area.  HEB has proposed a new store to be built approximately 1 mile away.  This area of town is in for a lot of change over the course of the next few years.

For more information on this development or other real estate related questions, call Jarrod Frenzel with The North Star Group at 281-658-7389.
